MedBioWorld's History

MedBioWorld was founded in Austria as Science.komm by Dr. Mark Brownlow in the mid-1990's, brought to the US in 2001 by a US publishing company, and acquired in 2004 by Healthnostics, Inc., a publicly traded US company (symbol - HNSO).

Healthnostics is currently spinning-off of its portal subsidiary MedBioWeb Corp. into a new public company. The new company will include the MedBioWorld medical and biotechnology professional portal, the MedNets medical portal and the FamilyMedicalNet consumer portal.

The greatest focus, however, is on information from federal government health and medical databases.

FamilyMedicalNet.com is intended for all ages and stages of life. It is organized by Focus Groups and Health Issues, giving immediate access to the information of interest to the visitor. The portal provides access to health and wellness news and information, support communities and interactive tools.
